The Houston Outdoor Group (HOG) is a social group for gay men, lesbians and gay friendly people who enjoy the outdoors. Activities are organized by HOG members and are reported in the monthly newsletter and website. Events include camping, hiking, botanical gardens and arboretums, museums, beaches, state parks, but can include any social activity, whether indoors or out. We have a monthly Saturday morning breakfast at local restaurants and a potluck once a month at a members home.

There is no formal membership requirements except for the annual fee of $20 per household.

A Message From Our President

This year has flown by, Summer is in full swing, and it's time for the election of HOG Officers for another year.  Our present board of officers has done an outstanding job this past year. Our activities director, Howard K has helped our members organize many varied activities throughout the year. Richard C has helped keep us informed of all the activities by publishing the newsletter each month. Tommie D has done an outstanding job creating and maintaining our excellent HOG Website at www.HoustonOutdoorGroup.org

Ray G., treasurer, has managed our finances and balanced the bank account. Great job, HOG Board! 

Now it's time to elect officers for the upcoming year. If you are interested in working as a HOG Officer, please contact one of the board members or leave a message on the website so your name can be placed for nomination.

The Election will be held on August 14th, Saturday, from 5-8pm on the monthly HOG Pot Luck Supper at Tim and Shu's.
